This past year was a photographic game changer, new equipment, software and a change in the way I was framing my work. I would like to think the hard work paid off. Time will tell.

One of the biggest hardware purchases came in the way of a drone. Specifically the Phantom 4. I have been following the drone technology for a while and I have been patiently waiting for the best time to jump in. There isn't really a good time to get in. I knew once I clicked  purchase next week a better faster drone would be available. That us just the way technology goes.

The Phantom has become just as important as my D800. I take it everywhere. I don't leave home without it. Drones have changed the face of photography forever and it's changing by the week.

One of my challenges is the format the camera takes. You get two options 16x9 or 4x3. I like the 16x9 format. You can always crop. It works well with the aerial feel of the image. Big, wide lots of real estate.

Do you have one? Been thinking about buying in? I would love to hear from you. Drop me an email.
